    When you require precise control of flow, pressure or temperature, the F-Class Vari-V Control Valve provides exactly what you need. Standard 10°, 30°, 60°, 90° V's are cut into the ball to handle the majority of control requirements. Custom profile V's are used for unusual applications requiring special flow characteristics.

    V-Balls

    At the heart of every F-Class control valve lies the Vari-V ball. The profile of the V-ball determines the flow characteristic of the valve, and can be changed to suit the application. 10°, 30°, 60° and 90° V-balls are most common, but other profiles are readily available, including the Linear-V, Filler-V and High Turndown-V. The transition between high flow and fine control with the Vari-V is extremely smooth. Custom options are also available.

    Custom V-Balls

    Custom V balls are available for applications that require specific flow requirements which cannot be met using a standard V-ball. With the aid of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), we can create a V-ball with a specific profile to fit any requirement, including high turndown applications. Some of our custom V balls have slots that are as small as a human hair. Anti-cavitation trim is also available.

    CFD/FEA

    Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) determines areas of high velocity/flow in a valve, and assist in trim engineering for applications where velocities need to be controlled. It also determines the flow coefficient (Cv) of F-Class Vari-V balls and aids in designing them to custom specifications. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) ensures that our valves meet the required wall thicknesses and strength, and it confirms the structural integrity of the valve.

    Gosco uses a proprietary process called boronizing, and we are the only company in the world that uses it as their main trim hardening process. Boronizing is an advanced chemical process which outlasts any coating. It results in a case layer that is extremely hard, corrosion resistant, and capable of handling high temperature shocks.

    Gosco's patented seat/spring design is perfect for powder/catalyst applications to prevent build up of powder behind the seats. The spring pushes against the seat while simultaneously sealing against the body so media can not get behind it.
