  • M-Class Vari-V Control Valves

    M-Class Vari-V Control Valves

When precise control of flow, pressure, or temperature is required in a metal seated ball valve, the M-Class Vari-V Control Valve is perfect for your tough applications. Standard 10°, 30°, 60°, 90° V's are cut into the ball for diverse Cv and control requirements. Custom profile V's are used for unusual applications requiring special flow characteristics.

  • V-Balls

    V-Balls

At the heart of every M-Class metal seated control valve lies the Vari-V ball. The profile of the V-ball determines the flow characteristic of the valve and can be interchanged to suit the application. 10°, 30°, 60° and 90° V-balls are most common, but other profiles are readily available, including the Linear-V, Filler-V and High Turndown-V. The transition between high flow and fine control with the Vari-V is extremely smooth. Custom V ball options are also available.

  • Custom V-Balls

    Custom V-Balls

Custom V balls are available for applications that possess specific flow requirements which cannot be met using a standard V-ball. With the aid of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), we can create a V-ball with a specific profile to fit any application. Anti-cavitation trim is also available. For further information on custom V-ball applications, including videos and specifications, please contact Gosco Valves.

  • CFD/FEA

    CFD/FEA

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) determines areas of high velocity/flow in a valve, and assist in trim engineering for applications where velocities need to be controlled. It also determines the flow coefficient (Cv) of Gosco Vari-V balls and aids in designing them to custom specifications. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) ensures that our valves meet the required wall thicknesses and strength, and it confirms the structural integrity of the valve.

  • Tripod Mounting Pad

    Tripod Mount

The patented M-Class Tripod Mount allows you to install the valve at any angle without supporting the actuator, while eliminating actuator misalignment. The three evenly-spaced prongs create a plane, preventing the actuator from rocking. When paired with a CNC machined mounting plate that cannot move left to right or back and forth, the actuator is guaranteed to be aligned correctly. Additionally, the packing can be adjusted without having to remove the actuator.

  • Metal Seats

    Metal Seats

Abrasive and high temperature applications quickly wear out the trim on Regular ball valves, so using the right custom metal seated configuration can extend the life of your valve by years. We offer all the traditional trim options, such as HVOF coatings (e.g. chrome/tungsten carbide on 410 SS), but our preferred trim material is boronized Inconel 718. It is considerably harder, more wear resistant, can handle temperature shocks better, and is more corrosion resistant than any coating on the market.

  • Scalloped Seats

    Scalloped Seats

Our competition attempts to prevent media from getting between the seat and spring by sealing the outer edge and back of the seat. Gosco Valves' patented design allows the media to flow freely behind the seat using special scallops, Since the media flows freely, it never gets trapped. The size, quantity, steepness of the angle, and spacing of the scallops vary with the particle sizes and the pressure inside the valve.
